Process, Applications for Programs Offered by Institutions Located Outside of Connecticut 

 

Out-of-state programs with any type of physical presence must be licensed in Connecticut. These institutions, however, are not accredited by the State of Connecticut because the degree is conferred in the home state. Connecticut requires that all out-of-state institutions be regionally accredited in order to offer programming in Connecticut that involves any type of physical presence.

 

Applications

Institutions located outside the state that intend to have a physical presence in Connecticut to offer programs should use the forms below. Note that out-of-state institutions must be regionally accredited to apply for licensure.  All proposals for new academic programs will be circulated by the Office of Higher Education to the chief academic officers at private and public Connecticut higher education institutions at the time of application submission to the Office of Higher Education.
